Are you overwhelmed or overloaded?
You may be asking, “What’s the difference?”
Great question!
We’re living in an age where we’re being bombarded with more information than in the entire history of humankind. Some estimate that 99 percent of all the data in human history has been generated in the past 10 years. Another estimate reports that about 90% of all data in human history has been generated in just the past 2 years alone! (If your mind exploded just a little bit with these numbers, you’re not alone! lol)
So, it’s easy to see how our brains are constantly overloaded with information. It’s like a firehose aimed into a coffee mug.
If you’re feeling constantly overwhelmed the reason is that you’re overloading your brain! It’s actually the brain overload that leads to the feeling of being overwhelmed. Brain overload can also come from trying to cram in too many “to-dos” on your daily list.
What, then, is the solution? With AI, the amount of data being created isn’t going to slow down – ever! It’s only going to increase!
Well, here are 3 simple but powerful solutions you can start implementing right away.
1.Keep track of how much time you’re spending on social media platforms daily. Your phone should be able to provide this info for you.
We often reach for our phones and start scrolling as a way to soothe ourselves and to relieve stress. The problem is that too much doom scrolling actually contributes to your brain being overloaded!
2.Either set a timer or set a limit in your phone for the amount of time you spend on social media. Also, if you’ve been following too much news on world events, reset your algorithm by searching out and following people who post positive messages! 3.Take advantage of AI to create summaries of extremely long documents. However, remember, AI can make mistakes! Depending on your profession, you’re still responsible for knowing all the info.
Implement these 3 simple strategies and see the difference it makes! When you stop overloading your brain, you’ll feel less overwhelmed.
It’s a Great Way to Go From Your Stressed Self to Your Best Self!™
